This last weekend was a nice little get away up to MN to see my brother get married. It was a wonderful time filled with family and friends, love and wine, celebration and connection. I had a wonderful tine seeing just about all of my family together for the first time in 8 years (we were missing one family from UT, but 8 out of the 9 isn't too bad) WE ALL MISSED YOU KARL, KATE and Kiddos! <3
The day we had to leave was mothers day........sit in the car and drive just about 7 hours to drop my little brother off and then head home. Eli was a SUPER crab, Matt refused to stay another night to spare me a day, (youd think just one day, like mothers day he could spare me) and some one was continusly passing gas that stunk to holy hell the whole 7 hours. It was a complete NIGHTMARE! On top of feeling just sad that i couldnt have my 6 month old with me for mothers day. I just missed her even more that day than i usually do. I suppose its just another day, nothing special for me, no cards, no special meals, nothing. Makes me feel pretty un-special. I am just another mom on just another day. whatever.

I think all the guys "forgot" about Mothers day. Jake and Josh didn't do anything for Korin and I. It is sad that we don't get the special treatment on that one day of the year, we all deserve it! I know Mothers day was hard for you.. missing Stella. Just don't forget that she is always with you. You will always be her Mommy, even when she is not physically here with you. I love you, and I miss little bean, too. xoxo
